Childbirth Education
$350 (virtual) or $450 (in person offered in Ottawa and surrounding areas)
Two 3.5 hour classes including topics such as late pregnancy, signs of early labour, stages of labour, pain management options, understanding comfort in labour, hospital policies, how to advocate for yourselves, postpartum planning, your postpartum recovery, infant feeding and how your partner or other support people can best help you, and what to expect from yourselves and your baby in the first few weeks. This class is comprehensive and provides you with a strong foundation stepping in to parenting. You can choose between virtual or private, in home classes that are tailored to you and offer privacy and flexibility in scheduling.

Comfort Measures
$100 (virtual) or $150 (in person offered in Ottawa and surrounding areas)
Two hours of instruction where you will learn about non-medical comfort measures and pain management techniques including Rebozo, touch, birth ball, positioning, breath work, and TENS. You will learn about the hormones involved in birth and how your environment impact them. We also include how to articulate your wishes during your baby's birth, options available to you, birth place policies and procedures, and how to advocate for yourselves. This is an interactive, hands on class that takes place in your home providing you with privacy and flexibility in scheduling.

Infant Feeding Education (Before Birth)
$100 (virtual) or $150 (in person offered in Ottawa and surrounding areas)
One two hour meeting where you and your partner or helper will learn the basics of infant feeding including how to get started, how to know your baby is hungry, what is latch, breastfeeding myths and realities and community resources, and how you can best be supported in the first few weeks. We will also cover other feeding methods if that is your goal - how and when to introduce, paced bottle feeding, formula (types and how to feed safely). This class is offered in person or virtually. The in person class takes place in your home.
Postnatal Education

Feeding Support After Birth
$75 (virtual) or $125 (in person offered in Ottawa and surrounding areas)
One two hour in home meeting with a Certified Lactation Counselor includes assessment of latch, tips and suggestions for breastfeeding, assistance with breastfeeding difficulties, and a follow-up phone consultation within 48 hours.
We provide the same help and advice through a virtual platform. Virtual supports also includes follow up within 48 hours.

Babywearing Education
$75 (virtual) or $125 (in person offered in Ottawa and surrounding areas)
We offer in home and virtual babywearing education. One of our certified babywearing educators will come to your home and help you with fit and safety checks of wraps, ring slings, and carriers you already own. We can also bring items from our libraries for you that you can try on for size between yourself and anyone else who will be carrying your baby. These sessions can take place before or after the birth of your baby. Sessions are booked for 2 hours. If you wish to book a virtual education session this is done with Zoom and includes information, safety tips, and demonstrations of a wide variety of carrying options. We also offer visual fit checks and advice on how to improve the fit and feel of carriers you already own.
