As a dad-to-be I found Amie’s supportive approach to be her most helpful attribute as a doula. As I reflect on our experience I realize that having her present at our labour & delivery gave me the opportunity to focus solely on my wife and subsequently, our daughter as she entered the world. I admit that I was apprehensive about hiring a doula because I wanted to be the one that my wife leaned on during labour – I wanted active involvement in our daughter’s birth. Little did I realize just how much having Amie there allowed me to be there in every moment and actively involved in every way. When asked about preparing for our daughter, I always say that of all the investments we’ve made Amie’s services and support have paid itself tenfold.
Thanks to Danielle, the birth of my son was exactly what I hoped it would be. Without her support, I’m positive my labour would have been longer, more painful, and would have included interventions I wanted to avoid. Danielle is friendly, warm and very well-informed. I can’t recommend her enough and I’m looking forward to next time!
The extraordinary commitment of NCD to connect with families and focus selflessly on the clients is unparalleled in my experience. There is a deep level of safe, nurturing, loving care.
